Thekla. The ship of too many stupid nights and outstanding gigs! Talking of such gigs, Pentire kicked off their 2025 tour last Thursday, with support from Mitch Saunders and Chase The Wild. A night full of laughter, great music, and belting out lyrics until our voices were breaking. What’s not to like?

Chase The Wild
And what an opener to get us started! From the first blast from the drums, the room is filled with energy, the whole room becoming drawn into Freddie’s magnetic stage presence. As the songs roll on, the audience is gulping down every stab and every riff, and they are absolutely loving it.

Mitch Saunders
Ambient guitars and crisp vocals that carry through the ship, Mitch Saunders is a perfect mix of Sam Fender and Juno Dream. As the guitars soar with the powerful melodies, the drums keep pushing through, creating a mesmerising atmosphere for the audience to drink in; a true success of a set.

After a technical delay to get on stage, the crowd erupts as the group make their way up to stage. The set starts up with a beautifully intimate moment between Jack and the audience, as they play ‘Can I Drive’ with phone torches all around. Each track lures the crowd in closer, involving the audience in song choices and, obviously, screaming the lyrics right back at the boys on stage. It’s yet another smash of a show, flooded with energy.
